In an attempt to empower their nationwide sales organization, the company struggled with getting actionable data in the hands of their sales associates.

In partnership with a team of data scientists, I successfully designed tools that the sales team loved using. This led to an extra $26M in annual revenue, better efficiency for sales associates, and faster onboarding.

The sales associates had never used a consistent method for leveraging customer data before, often complaining that past attempts were clunky, hard to access, and didn't provide real-time data. We took a phased approach, starting by closely partnering with a small group of pilot users to design a solution that would enhance rather than replace their existing workflows.

The final mobile-friendly dashboard included:

  • Predictive models to spot the biggest opportunities and risks in each sales rep’s customer portfolio

  • Early warning indicators to quickly detect important changes in customer purchasing behavior

  • Interactive trends and facts that made it easy for sales reps to find and understand key customer data all in one place
