Hyper-Segmentation Business Model
Overview
An innovative business model partnering with local wholesalers that empowered store managers to improve customer experience, maximize sales, and address store-level hyper-specific product needs
Due to the extremely long lead times for merchandise, retail locations with immediate proximity to beach or lakefront consistently struggled to host relevant items year-round. Store leads needed a faster sourcing model to get relevant products in-store and avoid missed sales.

the details
Store managers were consistently frustrated by lack of relevant product assortment and quantities that were relevant to their waterfront locations. Product were often only delivered in large batches once or twice a year, leading to empty shelves and missed sales.
To address this, I partnered with local wholesalers to create a catalog of high-demand items, allowing stores to place orders as needed with a rapid 1-2 day delivery window. This approach provided stores with the flexibility to restock relevant products quickly, ensuring they could meet customer demand consistently. The initiative empowered store managers, improved inventory management, and strengthened relationships with local suppliers.
Achieved an incremental $12 million in sales across 150 stores from catalog items, as a key component of incremental $23M in overall beach segmentation strategies
Enhanced product sell-through rates due to highly relevant merchandise availability.
Improved store manager satisfaction and sense of empowerment.
Strengthened brand credibility and relationships with local wholesalers in hyper-local markets.
